a community where you don't have to be 'normal' to recover from an eating disorder.
Welcome home.
It's going to be OK.

Do you want to feel happy again? Have you reached a point where you know you can't continue with your eating disorder any longer? Has the wake-up call come? Are you disillusioned with conventional treatment with eating disorders, but know you have to recover?
Hope.

If you're one of the 12% of people suffering from an eating disorder for who conventional treatment does not work, you may have found a place you dearly needed to find. The previous statistic is true - conventional treatment of eating disorders fails for a vast majority of sufferers because it implements many counterproductive strategies, including rapid weight gain, force-feeding (especially of unsafe foods), and restriction of exercise.

Did you hear that? It's not your fault. The truth is, the conventional treatments for eating disorders fail for a huge reason: most people who suffer from an ED will never be 'normal' about food again. We cannot simply go back to the way we used to be, if we even had that on the first place. There's got to be another way out. There's got to be.

In fact, there is.

We can recover together. By personalizing a meal plan for ourselves of safe, nutrient-rich foods - rather than choosing from pre-made meal options that we could never afford on our own - we can go beyond refeeding: we can renourish. Fresh fruits, green vegetables, nuts and seeds are all safe foods for the vast majority of those suffering from EDs, and they can provide enough calories and nutrients that we can renourish our body while remaining dedicated to our recovery. This is not revolutionary; this is simply eating enough of the foods that we know are safe that we can feel happy again.

And free.
